The following remarks were presented to a public gathering responding to President Trump’s call for a Rededication 250 celebrating America’s 250 years.
Rededicate 250: Prescott, Arizona

250 years ago, a Remnant of Colonists rose up and moved toward the fight for freedom. They were dedicated to establishing a nation with God as the Head and the founding principles of this nation based on Biblical truth.
It was Patrick Henry who declared, “It cannot be stated too often or too strongly that this great nation was not founded on religion but by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Our Forefathers continued to acknowledge that God preserved our nation thru the horrific separation from England, and they openly acknowledged Him and sought His aid in all they were accomplishing. The founders warned future generations that the day God was not revered, placed first in the affairs of man and this nation that would be the day this country would become a mere by-word, a memory of what it was meant to become.
Today we meet to declare our allegiance to those same founding principles our Forefathers brought forward, and to pray for our exceptional, not perfect, nation under God. Like the colonists this is a time of refinement and recalibration of values. This is a time especially arranged for Believers in Christ. Milk Toast Christianity is not what the First Century Christians demonstrated, and you can see this for yourself in the Book of Acts.
The timidity rampant through the present-day church is no match against the testing unfolding across our country, nor that which is yet to come. I pray the Lord releases a mighty bold conviction to stand; a bold conviction to bring renewed courage by brave-heart confessors of Christ who are not afraid to demonstrate their commitment to be followers of the Lord of lords and King of kings. This is also a time for reviving and renewing our individual, and collective as a nation, covenant with the One True-God, Jesus Christ! A time to renew our pledge to carry-out the promises our Forefathers made creating this exceptional nation.
America is a covenant nation – the only surviving nation on earth whose origins and determination are found in the papers and decrees of the Founding Fathers who established a country “to the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith.” A covenant nation is one that recognizes that God and His purposes are supreme over the nation, that the highest role a nation can play is to reflect God’s righteousness in national policy, but also in domestic service.
We meet today to remember and proclaim these truths. As we pray may we align ourselves with the Remnant of the colonies who gave us this gift of a godly nation, and may we align ourselves with the Remnant being called today by the Lord to stand and represent Him above all else.
We are engaged in a great civil war; I think it is the most crucial war in our nation’s history. This is not a war fought with grenades, bullets and bombs, no…it is a war of values, a war of ideas and philosophies, it is a war for control of our culture and our values as a nation. The political process has been corrupted by ungodly men and women. As a partial result the secular and very ungodly beliefs our founders warned about have come into focus and reality.
There is celebration in our nation’s capital that God has been separated from government. A popular belief is that Christians should not be involved in politics. Our constitution forbids the establishment of a state religion, but the congress is subsidizing public schools to teach humanism, various godless beliefs and even satanism.
Our nation and laws were based on Biblical Law. For us to remain silent we are basically endorsing the ways of government to remove the very foundational beliefs that formed this exceptional nation. Today we must stand up for God in our Democratic Republic, to use the voice He has given each of us and to promote a rebirth of the foundational principles of this Republic. The rededication of our Christian Republic is a critical must, and your presence here today says you agree.
Let us pray:
O Lord our God, during the complicated situations of life and the unsolved problems of the world, deliver us from any sense of futility. Let us all feel the support of the prayers from true patriots across this nation just as they may feel ours as we pray here today. May each of us be reminded that Your power has never been obstructed by difficulties, nor Your love limited by the confusion of human plans.
We thank you for the men and women who, by blood and sweat, by toil and tears, forged on the anvil of their own sacrifice all that we hold dear in our nation. We come together this afternoon asking You to open our eyes truly, so we may discern what You are doing, and our ears so we may hear what You are truly saying. May we pray to be found on Your side than asking You to be on our side. May we pray seeking Your direction as to how we may bind wounds and do this not as a political movement but as a movement by Your Holy Spirit.
Our country was founded on the principle “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, and the people whom He has chosen as His heritage” (Psalm 33:12). A Remnant came forward to proclaim and bring this truth into reality. May such a Remnant once again come forward and do likewise in this day.
In Jesus precious Name, Amen and amen.
